Need for Speed World, Yay or Nay?

Whilst on your search for some free to play titles, you may find yourself coming across a rather odd looking racing MMORPG that seems completely awesome. It may not be the same as any other MMORPG that you have played before, and that may turn you away from it's racing style, but it is definitely worth the time to check it out.

How does one actually have a racing MMORPG? Well, its easy. There is the basic setting of an open world in which you are free to zoom around in, to your hearts desire. You are able to see the other players who are racing through the world and there is a lot of people who you'll just find sitting around as well. you cannot interact with these cars in the free roam world, but then there is the racing part of the game that gets your blood pumping. You can enter into many different races around the world in which you are pitted against up to eight other players in an all out race to the finish. you can use power-ups like nitrous and juggernaut to bash or zoom around your opponents, or you can simply upgrade your car and go faster. every race gives you 'rep' which levels your driver up and a certain amount of cash to help you further your racing experience.

Customizing the appearance of your car is easy and fun.
This style of gameplay goes nicely with the free to play aspect of the game as it complements the lack of serious competition throughout the racing community. On top of this racing, there is also a deep customization ability to the car that you race around in. You can have three levels of cars, and a numerous amount of real world cars translated into the street racing video game world. You can choose to pay real-life cash to get yourself into a faster car, earlier in the game, but there is no reason that you have to. you can definitely start at the bottom and work your way up.

My thoughts on this game were that I was impressed with the level of detail and smoothness of the game play for several days, and then I hit level ten. For some reason I was suddenly unable to compete for top positions in any of my races, and there were definitely barriers when racing against people with better internet connections as I was unable to predict their moves, but nonetheless, I still did have some fun with the game. I have yet to obtain a higher tier car, but I am still a rather good racer if I say so myself.
A nice Lamborghini in the free roam world.

While this game doesn't attempt to completely change the industry, it does allow for a simple escape from reality if you have some free time to kill. pick this one up and give it a try, as you will not be disappointed. If you are, then there is no obligations because quite simply, it is Free. Have fun gaming, my friends!
